Cash contributions were received. Service clubs, residents of an assisted living facility, a variety of high school groups, and a service group of developmentally disabled adults, along with individuals from Evergreen and metro Denver communities shopped, boxed, and delivered personal care items to Wild Game. The donations will be sorted and packed into 300 string backpacks for distribution to homeless vets in metro Denver and along the front range. Items include face masks, hand sanitizer, soap, combs, aspirin, hand and feet warmers, bottles of water, and underwear. The filled backpacks go to Volunteers of America's Bill Daniels Veteran Service Center in Denver for distribution to homeless vets by the Center's case managers. Special guests attending Sorting Day and Packing Day include representatives of the Rotary, Kiwanis and Elks Clubs and high school students who participated in the project.
