As I write this on the last day of 8,652 days of January – that's how it seems to me – the weather prediction for the next few days is warm and sunny. YES!!!

Caring for the animals at my ranch, I'm outside more than most folks and – dang it! – this past month was brutally cold. The photo above was taken at my ranch on a minus 9-degree morning. It's as if God was telling me "Here is my beautiful gift of a rainbow to help inspire you on this challenging day." It can be so easy for me to fall into the never helpful whine mode. But the universe, in its magical way, makes challenging situations fall into place perfectly. Being able to focus and notice the serendipity is so encouraging. With so many difficult things happening around us, I certainly don't need to call attention to the negative, as it's shouted from all news sources constantly. Someone mentioned in a meeting this morning that he and his wife turn on the Hallmark channel and watch a simple, good-news movie just to breathe.

Of course, getting out in nature – yes, even in the cold – is the best way for me to decompress and reset my outlook. I highly recommend it along with visiting a certain spa in a gorgeous valley in Evergreen! 😊 I can promise that all of us at TallGrass will do everything possible to help you refresh, rejuvenate, and warm your tired body and spirit. We hope to see you during this special love month!

Mazie
Labrador Retriever/mixed, 4 yrs, female

Mazie is a sweet, energetic, playful girl who loves car rides, fireplaces, and warm dog beds. She likes food, too, after being a stray and arriving underweight at her foster home. Her favorite place in the world is the dog park where she absolutely loves every dog she meets, greets them with kisses, and wants to play immediately. She's gentle and loving towards children and could be an only dog, but would prefer to live with another dog who likes to play.
