Message from Gail Sharp
For the most part, I am an extrovert. I can chat it up with nearly anyone and can always find a subject to talk about and share with ease. Nearly every day, I have lunch, or dinner, or go on a hike or some other activity with one of my friends and I love being a witness to their lives and sharing mine with them. The love and
bonds I have with my family of choice -- including the TallGrass team and our guests -- is important to me and I'm so grateful for these connections. But, I must confess. I feel most comfortable and peaceful when I'm alone in the company of my animals. It's because I grew up as an only child with dogs and cats as my playmates and I take after my mother who loved every, single animal she laid eyes on. I get such enormous pleasure having my dog put her head on my lap, or hearing my horse nicker at me, or seeing my baby goats jump merrily down the hill. They touch my heart in such profound ways with their quiet, generous and consistent
love. Perhaps you're an animal person, too. Don't you just love the sight of a herd of elk grazing in a meadow or a fox trotting across the road? If you do, you've come to the right place! We have so many critters in the TallGrass valley! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for nature's bounty of flora and fauna on your next visit!
And, if you have room in your heart for a loving, loyal, obedient companion, consider giving a forever home to a shelter dog like Dallas, featured below.
